Telluride, Again?!

Obviously Telluride is one of our favorite places to go since it's where we take our friends.

Fire, Good

One thing we love is a good bonfire.  Matt built this firepit and we have enjoyed monthly bonfires.  We have had more bonfires since moving than all the years we've been close to the beach.

Cocina de Zaida

I did a little update on our kitchen.  I painted the cabinets a soft gray and our chairs the same.  There was also planks of cottonwood trees on the property that Babe used to make my farmhouse table. We hope to use the same planks for a bench to complete the table.  Hopefully in the next year or so the kitchen will have a complete overhaul.

Snow Day

I love snow days.  Absolutely breathtaking.  The promise of God making us new.

Telluride

One of our favorite places to visit is Telluride and with our favorite people.  We spent a weekend there enjoying the snow, sledding, hot tubbing and coffee.

Enjoying God's Creation

This photos really don't capture the beauty that surrounds us.  The hikes pretty much in our own backyard, the river the next town over and just the mountains I get to look at every morning from our home. We are quite blessed to be here.

What now Lord?

I have been so behind in blogging that I fully intended to catch up today. I was going to post the improvements made to the house, our trips to the mountains, CA for weddings, and just life here.
Well, life has ways of derailing plans made.  I was on my way to Mesa Verde National Park to meet Matt. Just as I was pulling into the park Matt called and told me that he was let go from his job. It's very hard to believe this is happening, we're actually still in shock.  Matt had received nothing but praise for all his work and this just doesn't make sense.  We know God brought us out here to CO and so many open doors indicated this was God's plan.  We are still believing that is the case, we don't want to leave CO, or the home we started to rebuild and make it our own. This setback is no surprise to the Lord, yet it's still hard, and we're sad and scared.  We serve a big God and He's got this.
